Hosting Forecast is Cloudy – Beta Forthcoming!
by Darren King
June 2008
For 10 years, Hosting.com has continually innovated and have proactively added new solutions into the managed hosting market space. As consumer demands grow and virtualized technologies have improve, Hosting.com has identified a need to create a cloud computing infrastructure.
Cloud computing will quickly become the foundation for future managed hosting service offerings. For years, large manufacturers and leading technologists have predicted that the internet will eventually evolve into a large cloud of shared infrastructure. This allows for numerous operating systems, applications, virtual appliances, and Web 2.0 applications to be bundled and linked together providing unlimited access to IT services and support.
Hosting.com's Product Development and Solution Strategy teams have been working vigorously over the past 12 months to design the most comprehensive cloud environment. Our solution will provide clients with unparalleled amounts of control, flexibility and redundancy. Provisioning, scalability and portability will be made simple, efficient and effective. Billing will become completely transparent and based on consumption and usage.
Most importantly, Hosting.com’s cloud offering will be managed by our superior development and support teams. As it matures, the opportunities for enhancements and improvements will be limitless. The primary reason for no boundaries – our clients have asked for it and we soon hope that most come to expect it.
As Hosting.com prepares to pioneer this new era of hosted solutions we will frequently engage our clients and prospects and ask them to participate in the creation and ongoing enhancement of this customer-centric solution. To that end, I am happy to announce that Hosting.com will release a beta of our cloud solution on July 11, 2008.
Our beta will be public and open to all Hosting.com prospects and clients. Pre-register to take part in the beta and be one of the first to experience everything the cloud has to offer. A consultant will contact you within two (2) weeks to provide more details on our cloud beta and let you know how you can get started!
